The Galapagos Islands offer a world of beauty, wonder, destruction, and survival. The volcanic islands are a nature conservatory managed by the Ecuadorian Government. This photograph may look familiar to some, especially if you saw the movie "Master and Commander" with Russell Crow. This is the scene where the doctor spots the French Frigate that they had been hunting. The bay to the left more precisely. the islands are rugged, created by violent volcanic activity but brought to wonder over the years by the variety of plants, animals, and the ability to adapt as documented by Charles Darwin.
Two of my passions are traveling and photography. I caught the traveling bug when I was in the military. The love for photography actually developed when I was trying to capture memories of my children as they were growing older. What better way to spend my retirement than to travel and try to improve my photographic skills. I hope you enjoy these photographs. Photographs can enhance the beauty of your home or office. They can bring light into a room or happiness into your heart.
