Fishing is important to the people who live on Chiloe Island, Chile. Understanding the tides is just as important when you need to dry dci a boat, but lack the advanced equipment of dry dock facilities that many modern societies possess. The boat pictured is dry docked for repairs. The drastic tides sometimes experienced in parts of Chile assist in getting the boat into a position where routine maintenance and repairs can be completed.
Two of my passions are traveling and photography. I caught the traveling bug when I was in the military. The love for photography actually developed when I was trying to capture memories of my children as they were growing older.
