Description
On your way to the Northern Rim of the Grand Canyon you must cross the Colorado River Gorge near Lee's Ferry. There are two metal bridges, one newer than the other but both nearly identical. The older bridge has been replaced and has now become a pedestrian walkway where people can gaze into the gorge at the Colorado River below. There they may see Condors, Mountain Sheep, or maybe rafters as they pass hundreds of feet below. Continuing onward one will pass the Vermillian Cliffs, Rock House, and Jacobs Lake on their way to the Grand Canyon.
