Located in the Los Glacieres National Park in Argentina is the Pietro Moreno Glacier. The glacier is approximately 25 miles long and 5 miles wide. It rises approximately 200 feet above the lake and is reportedly descends 300 feet to the lake bottom. Unlike many glaciers, Pietro Moreno is holding its own, not receding nor advancing. It is a very active glacier, constantly rumbling and calving.

Two of my passions are traveling and photography. I caught the traveling bug when I was in the military. The love for photography actually developed when I was trying to capture memories of my children as they were growing older.
