In 1100 Saqsaywaman was built as a fortress just outside Cusco, Peru. Cusco was the capital of the Inca Empire at the time. The amazing workmanship, stone carving, and tight seems amaze people to this day. The Alpaca in the foreground often roam the area and graze, which is beneficial to all concerned since mowing is not necessary.
Two of my passions are traveling and photography. I caught the traveling bug when I was in the military. The love for photography actually developed when I was trying to capture memories of my children as they were growing older. What better way to spend my retirement than to travel and try to improve my photographic skills. I hope you enjoy these photographs. Photographs can enhance the beauty of your home or office. They can bring light into a room or happiness into your heart. If any of these photographs or those of other artists are of interest to you, simply click on the photograph to review purchasing options. Thanks for visiting.
